We recently exhibited at the first edition of CARTES in Asia, where we were accompanied by one of our valued partners, ITOX. An exhibition hosted in Hong Kong, CARTES in Asia focused on regional companies who work in the field of smart cards, payments, and technological security.
We were glad to be joined by ITOX, whose role within China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore will be to represent the Futurex solution suite to local customers while also providing locally-based support and training. We are excited to have them represent Futurex in the Pacific Rim region.
The show, as a whole, was a great success. We were able to reconnect with many old friends and meet a number of new ones while getting a firsthand look at one of the fastest-growing markets for data security and cryptographic solutions in the world.

As Futurex’s Chief Solutions Architect, I am pleased to announce the opening of our new regional office located in the center of Singapore. This decision follows the significant growth and an increasing need in the Asia Pacific marketplace for:
• Advanced Host Security Module (HSM) solutions that are highly scalable and that can manage, monitor, maintain and update whole networks of HSMs.
• Key Management Servers (KMS) with remote key management capabilities for the financial and retail arenas.
• Solutions that provide and meet new international standards and compliance coupled with the need for better risk management and stringent auditing requirements.
Fortunately for Futurex, our internationally compliant HSM and KMS solutions are able to meet the needs just mentioned. Futurex’s HSMs are fully scalable and its Excrypt Universal Interface provides the only plug-and-play replacement capability for vendor specific HSMs with proprietary interfaces in the marketplace. Our HSMs also provide network monitoring, load balancing and disaster recovery. Our KMS devices also help meet the needs of the escalating Asian market by providing Remote Key Management solutions that allow the user to remotely and securely inject encryption keys into ATM and POS networks.
Futurex’s new offices in Singapore will be used to effectively provide support and training to our valued customers and trusted partners. Futurex is planning to do a series of training sessions and seminars from our new office and will continue to develop and establish partnerships in the Asia Pacific region.

Recently, we hosted a brand new international partner from Accra, Ghana, Mr. Seth McCarthy of Script Company Limited. Seth came to the Futurex Technology Campus and completed a full week of the Futurex Partner Training Program. The training consisted of hands on product and technical training, as well as, sales and marketing presentations. As a new Futurex partner, Seth will be promoting and selling Futurex’s Host Security Modules (HSM) and Key Management Servers (KMS) in West Africa. It was great hosting Seth as it was his first time to South Texas. After his visit Seth said, “It was a great trip and very worthwhile. Getting extensive product and technical training is invaluable in order to successfully support my local customers in Africa.”
In addition, we have recently added Ark Infoware headed up by Arnold Khoo in Singapore to our growing list of international Futurex partners. Ark will be promoting Futurex products within the ASEAN countries and currently has prospects in a number of Indo China locations. Script Company Limited and Ark Infoware are 2 out of 10 international partners set up in the last few months. All our partners are currently helping to expand the Futurex brand and introducing our advanced technology to part of the globe that previously had few options of data encryption suppliers. Futurex is continuing its quest to set up and support international partners with local knowledge and experience on a worldwide basis.
