BULVERDE, Texas — December 01, 2009

Futurex, an innovator in data encryption security solutions, today announced the Excrypt™ System Security Processor SSP9000 Hardware Security Module (HSM). The Excrypt™ SSP9000 includes enhanced cryptographic hardware designed to meet both current and future requirements for data security in the financial and retail markets. The Excrypt™ SSP9000 operates at an industry-leading 2,250 transactions per second, calculated using Triple-DES PIN translation commands with industry-standard key blocking measures, and includes the Excrypt™ Manager, the industry’s first graphical user interface which allows both local and remote configuration via TCP/IP.

100% backward compatibility with prior Futurex HSMs is maintained, and the Excrypt™ SSP9000 includes a number of new features to prepare organizations for future developments in the field of data security and cryptography. The Excrypt™ SSP9000 is RSA, EMV, AES and ECC-ready, and is compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI), International Standards Organization (ISO), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements. The device is also designed as a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Tamper-Resistant Security Module.

The Excrypt™ SSP9000 can be configured with any combination of up to two gigabit Ethernet ports, four RS232 serial ports, and one USB 2.0 port. It also allows an industry-leading 1000 socket connections with integrated load balancing between applications, allowing organizations to operate multiple applications with a single HSM.
