Futurex Announces Release of EXP9000 Encryption Card
BULVERDE, Texas — November 20, 2009 — Futurex, an innovative leader in data encryption and security solutions, today announced the release of the EXP9000 encryption card. The card, which is designed for use in Futurex’s comprehensive line of Hardware Security Modules and Key Management Servers, represents a significant increase in speed and functionality over existing industry-standard encryption hardware.
Able to perform at speeds of up to 2,250 transactions per second, the EXP9000 enables Futurex devices to boast the fastest encryption speed in the industry. The card contains specific acceleration for RSA key generation and is designed to function in multiple hardware configurations, coming equipped by default with a gigabit Ethernet port and a RS-232 serial port. The EXP9000 is designed to function as a Tamper-Resistant Security Module (TRSM), which instantly renders all sensitive data inaccessible if any unauthorized access attempt is detected.
The EXP9000 represents over two years of development efforts and will serve as Futurex’s flagship encryption card, acting as the successor to the popular EXP7000 encryption card. In fulfillment of Futurex’s forward-looking engineering policy, the EXP9000 is designed to support all current and emerging standards, including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC).
