The Excrypt™ EBS7000 Enterprise Balancer System can be used in conjunction with the Excrypt™ SSP Series Host Security Modules to provide a complete solution for encryption processing for EFT transactions. The addition of an Excrypt EBS7000 transforms a group of Excrypt SSPs into an easily managed and scalable solution. Many banks and credit unions today are successfully using a combination of Excrypt EBSs and Excrypt SSPs in their ATM transaction processing systems.
As a complete solution, the Excrypt™ EBS7000 was designed from the beginning to meet the requirements of large financial institutions. This includes functionality for load balancing, scalability, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, centralized management and device replication. Since both the Excrypt EBS7000 and Excrypt SSP Series are part of Futurex's modularly designed architecture, you can customize configurations to fit your business processing requirements.
The Excrypt™ EBS7000 is a load balancer and disaster recovery device designed by Futurex for customers looking for redundancy and higher rates for the Excrypt SSP series of Host Security Modules. There are many benefits that you can expect with the addition of the Excrypt EBS7000.
The Excrypt™ EBS7000 allows you to organize multiple Excrypt SSPs into a single functional group that operates faster and more effectively than Excrypt SSPs do alone. Up to five (5) groups with up to five (5) Excrypt SSPs per group can function at a highly effective TPS rate.
Multiple Excrypt™ SSP units functioning in a group provide the redundancy necessary for fault tolerance. If one Excrypt SSP unit in the group should ever fail, the other units will absorb the load.
In the event of a disaster (natural or otherwise), having a load-balanced Excrypt™ SSP in a second remote location means the "all-else-fails," off-site device would function for the affected site.
Single point key loading is possible when you load keys into an Excrypt™ EBS7000 unit because it replicates to all other Excrypt SSP units in a group. Using our Graphic User Interface makes configuration simplified and easy to understand.
In a grouping environment, multiple groups of Excrypt™ SSPs can be used for different functions and keys. The Excrypt EBS7000 will increase the availability and functionality of your HSM network.
