Futurex Named a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion
National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), to take place in October, reminds many of us that the Internet, for all its benefits, has loosed some lions: viruses, credit card fraud, identity theft, and privacy breaches, to name a few.
A Pew Research Center survey (2015) reveals what the center called a sense of “data insecurity” looming over Americans in the wake of mass credit card breaches. To assuage concerns about security issues such as these, the Department of Homeland Security, in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), sponsors NCSAM.
The collective efforts of organizations and individuals to promote awareness of Internet best practices are critical to the success of NCSAM, and, with that in mind, the NCSA enlists champions to commit to cyber security throughout the month of October. Futurex, as a company at the forefront of data security solutions, proudly took that commitment to become a NCSAM Champion. We, at Futurex, arm organizations and individuals with industry-leading hardware security modules (HSMs), among other solutions, to secure sensitive data. Beyond selling state-of-the-art security products, we also provide on-site services and publish whitepapers, case studies, and a blog—all of which contribute to the global body of data and cyber security literature. Becoming an NCSAM Champion was just a natural step forward.
