Futurex Announces AuthentiCrypt Trusted Identity Platform
BULVERDE, Texas — Futurex today announced AuthentiCrypt, an enterprise-class trusted identity and smart token management solution. AuthentiCrypt is part of Futurex’s Hardened Enterprise Security Platform and contains features and functionality to manage the entire identity lifecycle from enrollment to revocation.
AuthentiCrypt offers customized, turnkey solutions for applications, including: enterprise PKI; application authentication; LDAP and single sign-on; mobile payments and EMV; national ID; physical access control; multi-factor authentication; Bring Your Own Device (BYOD); document/e-mail signing; and more. With core functionality based on established standards, AuthentiCrypt is designed to integrate with existing applications and expand in the future to fulfill emerging technology requirements.
Full integration with the Securus, Futurex’s FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated tablet, is included. This allows organizations to remotely perform a variety of tasks including enrolling users, issuing smart token-based credentials, modifying or revoking access, auditing logs, and configuring all aspects of the AuthentiCrypt product itself.
The platform supports capture of biographic, demographic, and biometric data. Smart tokens can be issued using PIV, GlobalPlatform, Java Card, ISO 7816, and dual-interface standards, and the platform acts as an LDAP, OCSP, FIDO U2F, and SASL authentication provider.
AuthentiCrypt can be operated either as an on-premises hardware offering or as a cloud-based service delivered by VirtuCrypt. The on-premises hardware is housed in a purpose built 3U rack mounted chassis with redundant power supplies, integrated cryptographic module, and up to ten hot-swappable hard drives for large-scale credential storage.
“There is no other offering in the market today that matches the security, scalability, and functional extensibility of AuthentiCrypt,” said Brett Smith, CEO of Futurex. “The ability for organizations to operate their enterprise key management, certificate authority, and trusted identity infrastructures within a single vendor platform, either on-premises or on the cloud, is unprecedented. With the addition of AuthentiCrypt to our portfolio, the Hardened Enterprise Security Platform is extended fully to the end user, establishing the final link in an end-to-end chain of hardened security.”
