This enables Miura Systems to better manage and load cryptographic keys into its payment terminals worldwide, using remote key loading to streamline the process.
Futurex streamlines security for Miura’s worldwide mobile payment environments
Anytime a payment card is presented at a retail payment terminal (physical or digital), a secure key encrypts the PIN or the primary account number (PAN). An encryption key must be securely loaded into that payment device. For organizations with widespread fixed or mobile payment terminal networks, the manual process of direct key injection can be a significant operational expense with a high susceptibility to human error. With remote key loading, also known as remote key injection, this secure deployment process is streamlined, and the need to load devices in a dedicated key-loading facility is eliminated, delivering important savings in time and money. It also provides the flexibility to deliver secure key updates directly to devices deployed in a live environment.
