The USB Backup HSM is a FIPS 140-2 Level 3-validated USB device that simplifies device cloning and acts as a secure offline storage solution for keys, certificates, configurations, and more. With its tamper-resistant HSM and pin-pad entry authentication, it minimizes risks associated with typical USB solutions. It can store up to 16GB of data.
Using both source and USB HSM keys, the USB Backup HSM double encryption security ensures keys and certificates are properly protected.
The USB Backup HSM is FIPS 140-2 Level 3-compliant, including both its physical tamper-resistant features and identity-based authentication.
Export and conveniently store private keys on a portable FIPS 140-2 Level 3-validated storage device for enhanced Root CA security.
The USB Backup HSM provides the ability to replicate Futurex device configurations and keys across multiple devices. Load key and device configuration profiles by first unlocking and activating the USB Backup HSM using the onboard PIN pad. After unlocking and connecting, use the USB to store keys and device configurations with up to 16GB of storage space. This FIPS 140-2 Level 3-validated USB storage device drastically reduces the time required to configure new devices and the potential for human error.

You can load certificate signing request files to the USB Backup HSM for transport to an offline root CA for signing. The signed certificates are then returned through the backup HSM to the source machines for subsequent use.
