SAN ANTONIO, Texas – May 30, 2025Futurex, a global leader in enterprise data protection and cryptographic innovation, has been appointed to the PCI Security Standards Council's (PCI SSC) 2025–2027 Board of Advisors. Representing Futurex is Chief Solutions Architect David Close. 

As one of a select group of global organizations chosen to help guide the PCI SSC's strategic direction, Futurex brings decades of applied cryptographic expertise to the forefront of payment security. The Council's Board of Advisors is critical in shaping PCI standards and programs, ensuring they remain relevant, effective, and globally representative. 

This appointment comes as the payments industry faces heightened regulatory scrutiny and rising threats posed by advances in quantum computing. Futurex's seat on the Board reinforces its role as a trusted authority in enterprise encryption and forward-looking data protection. 

The Board of Advisors represents PCI SSC Participating Organizations worldwide to ensure global industry involvement in developing PCI Security Standards and programs. Futurex is one of 64 global organizations selected to serve on the Board, bringing industry, geographical, and technical insight to PCI SSC's evolving plans and projects.
